Sachit Varma, Investment Manager
Hello.
My name is Sachit and I’m an Investment Manager. As an Investment Manager At CVX Ventures, I am responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing early-stage transactions in Fintech and Foodtech. I actively represent the firm at investor conferences and startup events, while building sector expertise and industry networks in the European venture ecosystem.
Background
I am an MBA graduate from HKUST Business School in Hong Kong, specialising in venture capital and private equity. My career in the transaction space began with a role in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, aligned with the FIG vertical at the firm. Early in my professional journey, I discovered my two core interests: high-conviction investment and emerging tech Having lived and worked across different corners of the world, I appreciate the increasingly global nature of business and the opportunity for value creation through venture capital.
Highlight
My favorite part of the job is the chance to speak with excellent founders. It presents me with the opportunity to unlock a new dimension of thought, and build enduring relationships with an inspiring community of entrepreneurs. I also enjoy being knee-deep in sector research, uncovering the drivers that underlie a business and exploring frontier tech.
The casual side of corporate
I am an amateur travel photographer, having visited over 30 countries across 4 continents. I also often escape into nature on long hiking excursions, most recently in Snowdonia (Wales). Other interests include HIIT training, learning new languages, and swimming.
