Hello.
My name is Christian and I am an Investment Manager at CVX Ventures. My role at CVX is to source and execute amazing investment opportunities from across the Nordics, specifically in the Consumer space. I am responsible for the end-to-end investment process, as well as representing CVX Ventures at industry events and providing thought leadership on my space.
Background
I have an MSc in Corporate Finance from the Henley Business School, ICMA Centre. I started my career in several finance roles at Aviva plc, the UK’s largest insurer and asset manager, before joining their mergers & acquisitions (M&A) team for 3 years, where I worked on a number of transactions, including the sale of their Vietnam and Indonesia based businesses. I then joined Aviva Ventures, Aviva’s corporate venture capital fund, where I spent my time investing in startups and 3rd party VC funds for 3 years, specifically looking at Fintech, Insurtech, and other strategically aligned sectors.
Highlight
I love that I get to work with a huge variety of brilliant founders & teams and their businesses. I really enjoy the learning curve in venture capital and the process of understanding different businesses, new innovations, and different markets within the Consumer space. It is also great being in a role that provides a front seat to technological advancement and change.
The casual side of corporate
try not to take my hobbies and interests too seriously, however, I have been told that I’m not too successful. I am an avid cyclist, runner, CrossFitter, and golfer but enjoy playing most sports given the opportunity. Outside of this, I enjoy travelling and spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, and friends.
